Translation (German-English) of a Wedding Speech, incl. Layout and Print of 15 Booklets with Ribbon (July 2019)

Liebe Frau MMag. phil Kellner!

Consecutive Interpreting German-English-German (March 2019)

Ms. Kellner assisted me greatly with translation in March of 2019 during a visit to Innsbruck from the United States as part of my research for a book I am writing on a World War II espionage mission.  She was a great help to me in interviewing German-speakers, going beyond what was asked of her, and I was impressed by her preparation in developing symbols ahead of time for the particular terms and phrases she anticipated hearing.

“Languages fascinate me, because they give us insights into different cultures and let us discover the world.”

Becoming a professional interpreter and translator means gaining an excellent knowledge of your foreign languages as well as your own mother tongue, being precise, self-confident and empathetic. This is a process of lifelong learning.

As a neutral intermediary between languages and cultures, my aim is to transfer your message as faithfully as possible. At the same time, a translation is often expected to sound like an original.

Like athletes, also interpreters and translators keep practising to improve their performance. Please have a look at some numbers taken from my practise diary.
